What is The Dig?
Every Friday, Michael and his producer and son John sit down together for a dig around in that week's My Time Capsule, dig up old capsules (sometimes with the original guest who buried it), play exclusive unheard clips and interact with listeners via email and voice memos. Every week we also play a clip where the guest tells us exactly where they'd like to bury their time capsule — and we ask returning guests the same question. It's a conversation, a recap and a community call-in show all in one. The Dig goes out free on the main feed for everyone to enjoy.

Revisiting old guests
Past guests come back to dig up their old time capsule and see what's stood the test of time, and what they'd change.
Burying the week
We bury the five things from that week's episode, sealing them up for the capsule — and then talk about what it all meant.

Producer & co-hostJohn has been running music production company Pass The Peas Music since 2005. He was composer and MD for the CBeebies show Monty & Co, has written and produced music for worldwide advertising campaigns including Land Rover, BMW and Pura, and is the "singing voice" of Sky Kids. He is the producer and editor of My Time Capsule, and the voice behind the viral TikTok and Instagram sensation "Monday, Tuesday…etc", which has been used and viewed hundreds of millions of times.
